The Cow in Patrick O’Shanahan’s Kitchen Educator Guide/Lesson Plans

Michigan Agriculture in the Classroom (adapted from the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom) presents The Cow in Patrick O’Shanahan’s Kitchen Educator Guide/Lesson Plans, based on the picture book written by Diana Prichard. This educator guide/lesson plan explores the origins of the food we consume on a daily basis and the instrumental role that farms and farmers play in providing food for the community. In this edition, students will learn where maple syrup comes from, the production of orange juice, and the history of pork and Michigan’s pork industry.
